A boost for investment in the Illes Balears

The Balearic Islands are not only one of the world’s leading destinations to visit. They are also a territory with the capacity to attract investment, talent and new business ventures. Their strategic location, connectivity with major markets, economic dynamism, international outlook and quality of life create an environment offering significant opportunities for companies seeking to grow and develop long-term projects.

These factors are complemented by a growing capacity for innovation, particularly in fields linked to knowledge and new technologies, as well as by a range of tax incentives, financing instruments and public support measures. The Government of the Balearic Islands is working to strengthen these assets and move towards a more diversified, sustainable and resilient economy capable of generating greater investment, high-quality employment and added value.

Investment Incentives Catalogue for the Balearic Islands

Against this backdrop, the Investment Incentives Catalogue for the Balearic Islands was created and approved by the Council of Government on 4 September 2026. The Catalogue is intended as a tool to provide investors, companies and project promoters with easier access to the information they need to develop their initiatives in the Balearic Islands.

The Catalogue brings together, in a single place, the main grants, incentives, tax benefits, financing schemes and other investment support measures offered by the various public authorities, bodies and organisations. It therefore facilitates access to information that is currently dispersed and makes it easier to identify the opportunities and instruments that may be relevant to each project.

More than merely a compilation of grants, the Catalogue is intended to serve as a gateway to the Balearic Islands’ investment support ecosystem and as a practical tool for supporting projects from the planning stage through to their implementation and consolidation. It is a living resource that will be kept up to date to incorporate new opportunities and support measures that can help make the Balearic Islands an increasingly attractive place in which to invest, innovate and grow.
