Approved projects financed by the Fund to encourage 2016 sustainable tourism
On 25th January 2017, the Commission for the Promotion of Sustainable Tourism selected those projects to be financed with the revenue generated by the tax on sustainable tourism in 2016.
Thanks to the contributions of our visitors, we are able to invest 30 million Euros in 46 projects. 80 percent of the total amount will be spend for environmental protection and improvement of water supply. The remaining 20 percent will contribute to promote projects related to sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, innovation and research, as well as better training and creation of qualified jobs.
