What is it?

·  The Observatory of the Youth of the Government of the Balearic Islands is the organ that in a structured and planned way collects, manages, processes and generates studies related with the area of the youth.

·  The knowledge of the reality, of the structural and sociocultural aspects that affect to young people, the study of the diversity of the living conditions, of the juvenile experiences and of the social problems, is fundamental if what is aimed for is to improve the social conditions of the young persons of the Balearic Islands. On the other hand, the analysis and the study of the reality has to guide the planning of the youth policies.

·  The Observatory of the Youth is, then, the tool of current observation, analysis and study of the characteristics of the juvenile condition in the Balearic Islands.
