OBJECTIVES |
The bay of Cala Millor will be an example for other tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. It aims to take a step forward in the solutions for the adaptation of urban beaches, going from the scientific analysis and study of local risks and vulnerabilities to the proposal of tangible and transformative actions, with a real impact on society and the development of this coastal paradise.
Citizen participation is considered a fundamental enclave for the development of this initiative. In order to achieve a quality future for Cala Millor, participation and governance mechanisms will be established, as well as awareness-raising actions that allow people to feel part of LIFE AdaptCalaMillor and provide their contributions to generate a shared vision on the evolution and transformation of this bay.
The goal is to make the urban environment of Cala Millor a space that will last over time in the face of environmental alterations, due to climate change, through the creation of scientific, inclusive, sustainable and stakeholder-focused guidelines.
