Service of the Center of Process of Data and Network|Net: Structure and Functions

The Center of Data Process (of now ahead CPD) it is the Service of the General Direction of Technology and Communications been in charge of providing access to the new information technologies to all the community of users of the Government of the Balearic Islands, being responsible, therefore, of the following one:

  • Planning in half and long deadline|installment of the architecture of systems of the Government

  • Organization and maintenance of the systems of information that constitute the technological platform that allows the management|formality of the Government

  • Advice in|on ministries and organizations|organisms of the Government in the implantation of new systems of information, planning of needs of infrastructures, etc.

To make it it is structured in three areas, which carry out the following specific functions:

The Area of Security|Certainty, Backup and Exploitation

He|She|It takes care of:

  • It|He|She maintains|sustains the accounts|bills of users Intranet and AS/400 (high, casualties|sick leave and changes of working party).
  • It|He|She maintains the inventory of workstations and printers (assignment|allowance of addresses IP).
  • It|He|She maintains the àlias of mail and distribution lists.
  • He|She|It manages the permissions|permits of security|certainty associated with user (folders of restricted access, access to local units, Internet, Extraclean Corporative).
  • He|She|It manages the System of Attention to|in Incidences and the HelpDesk.
  • The system maintains firebreaks|fireproofings.
  • He|She|It manages the daily backup copies, and the possible recoveries|retrieval of data.

The Area of Technique of Systems and Infrastructures

Person in charge|Attendant of:

  • Administration of servers (at present about 90). Windows Platforms, Linux, Solaris, AIX, OS/400.
  • Administration of SAN (Storage Array Network).
  • Management|Formality of NCs (Network Computers).
  • Management|Formality of Gateways SNA.
  • Monitorització of network|net services.
  • Resolution of incidences of second level.
  • Management|Formality of infrastructures of the CPD: electrical installation, SAI, antifire systems, air conditioning, generator.
  • Management|Formality of the following services: electronic mail, corporative antivirus, automàtico translator of Catalan, servers of files and printers.

 

The Area of Administration and Support

He|She|It takes care of:

  • Administration of Oracle data bases: software of basis, management|formality of space, security|certainty, monitorització of the performance and backup copies.
  • Administration of servers of application Weblogic and JBoss.
  • Definition of standards of development, quality assurance|quality control and installation of applications customer/server and J2EE in production.
  • Administration of the platform of the system economic|economical/financial corporative (HE|SHE|IT KNOWS).
  • Lotus Domino administration of servers: electronic mail and documental data bases.
  • Management|Formality of the System of Information of the Primary Attention (SIAP): 40 connected health centres, 1.140 users.
  • Resolution of incidences of second level.
