SHELTER OF CÚBER

Once the ICON had constructed in year 1978 as a shelter for the fishermen|anglers, he|she|it reformed as a shelter in the nineties. The building and the surroundings have the basic equipments to make stays there.

Location and access

The shelter of Cúber is in the Place born in the Saw of North Wind, to|in the proximity of the reservoir of Cúber, in the municipal area of Escorca, at 760 m of height.

The km 34 of the road Andratx- is accessed for a placed path|way Pollença (MA-10), near the reservoir. The vehicle can park beside the shelter. It|He|She can also go there with public transport.

The estate of Cúber - connect there

Until in year 1972 the reservoir was constructed, Cúber was the typical possession of mountain where the crops|cultivations, together with the forest exploitation of the oak wood and the pastures, were the basis in a way of traditional subsistence. The estate is now a property|estate of the Government of the Balearic Islands.

The high pluviometry and a very variable relief|relay make one of the spaces of the Saw from the estate of Cúber with major wealth landscape and born in Mallorca.

In the reservoirs it is only allowed to fish with the authorization|accreditation of the Ministry of Environment and Mobility.

Description and equipments

The shelter of Cúber has a superficie of 25 m², with an attic|hillock. The capacity of the shelter belongs to 6 persons.

In the shelter there is a table with a bank|bench, four esteres of wood, an attic|hillock and a home of fire. You will find also a first-aid kit and an extinguisher. It|He|She does not have beds.

The shelter has light through solar plaques|plates.

In the exterior there is an adapted table, an adapted stove, an adapted chemical bath a green point and a woodshed.

Adaptations

In the shelter there is space for which a person with reduced mobility can make stay there. The other five squares|posts are in an attic|hillock.

Complementary activities

The estate of Cúber and its|his|her|their environment they shape one of the spaces more visited by the hikers, it|he|she is already as more ready of beginning and end of itineraries of mountain or as a zone of step|passage of some of the routes traditional from the Saw.
