With building fires, be safe!

In public places:

Always call 112

Always look at the safety and emergency instructions for the premises: extinguishers, emergency exits, instructions for evacuation.

In case of fire always use the stairs. Do not use the lifts.

In a fire the smoke always rises. Stoop as you walk.

In case of fire do not open doors if you think there may be a fire behind. Avoid air currents. Seal doors and windows with rags to stop smoke coming in.
In case of emergency leave quickly but without running. Stay calm.

In case of fire switch of electricity at the mains.


At home:

An extinguisher at home can avoid the worst consequences. When using one, direct it at the base of the flames.
Keep medicines and toxic or inflammable substances out of the reach of children.

In the case of fire in the kitchen, move nearby flammable products. If liquid is burning in a pan, cover it. Do not try to put it out with water.
In case of emergency call 112
