The Commission of Coordination of the Local Policewomen of the Balearic Islands, presided over by the counselor of Public Administrations, Simón Gornés, has approved unanimously the report that validates the draft of the new order of uniformity of the local policewomen. The proposal for designing a new uniform for these police was adopted in the former meeting of this commission, on the 28th March 2012.

The draft of the new order of uniformity collects the need to change the design of the clothing of the local policemen of the Islands with the objective that all go clothed in the same way. Treats itself|himself|herself like homogeneitzar the external image of the local policemen. Moreover, it has been ascertained that there are several sectors of workers who use the reflective yellow in|on its|his|her|their clothing and this hampers the visual identification of if his being a policeman or not.

The decision to issue a new order of uniformity has sped up because several town councils havíen communicated in the Ministry of Public Administrations its|his|her|their need to acquire new uniforms for this summer. With everything, the draft of the order of uniformity, it|he|she gives a moratorium of 4 years so that the town councils of the islands acquire the new uniforms to its|his|her|their local policemen. The order of valid uniformity is from year 2005.

For everything, and once discussed to|in the corresponding technical commission, has been considered that the new uniform of the local policemen is of a color alone, blue-marine. This is the main novelty|innovation that, moreover, will make it|him more economic|economical for the town councils. The counselor Gornés has highlighted in the vote|poll of the report, that the homogenization of uniforms, it|he|she will not mean|suppose under any circumstances more expense for the town councils since there will be the possibility to acquire them across the Headquarters of Recruitment to achieve them at a better price, to, more of being cheaper than the current ones, in the majority of the two-tone cases.

The new design of uniform that contemplates this draft establishes that one, who will be located|placed in|on the left sleeve (that of the Government and that of the corresponding Town Council are unified), will be gone to of two emblems: it|he|she will contain the shield of the Autonomous Community and the municipal shield. The town councils adhered to the Tutor Policeman Program that they wish it will have the possibility to authorize these agents to wearing|carrying an identificatiu emblem that "tutor policeman" will say and will position on the silvery plaque|plate.

The draft of new order of uniformity also makes reference to the vehicles, which will keep the design approved in a partial modification that was made in 2008 about the former order (that of 2005): they will have to be of white color, with the exception of the bicycles (for the towns that have this unit of local policeman), which will have to be black. The cars, etc, vans will have to have a reflectora yellow border followed by one blue with white squares in|on the part inferior of the windows. For the motorbikes, it|he|she will be similar.
