The General Assembly of the United Nations, in 1992,  stated on the 3rd December International Day of the Persons with Disability. During that year, the ONU recapitulated its|his|her|their objectives in the sphere of the disability and he|she|it stressed the importance of the full integration of the persons with disability into the society|company.

This year, the subject chosen by the ONU has been "joints in pro of a better world for everybody, who understands|includes the participation|shareholding of the persons with disability in the development".

On the 13th December 2006 the International Convention was approved about the Rights of the Persons with Disability, in which the visibility of this col•lectiu in the system of protection of human rights of the United Nations is highlighted.
