The counselor of Presidency has presented this morning the commemorative celebrations that they will be carried out of the 29 February in the 4 March on the occasion of the Day of the Balearic Islands, accompanied by the director general of Institutional Relations|Relationships and External Action|Share, Carmen Lliteras.

Gómez has started the press conference explaining that "the main objective of the organization of the day is the popular implication, the participation|shareholding for the first time of the private initiative and the principle|beginning of austerity". The budget of this year is 280.000 euros (50.000 of which for advertising), while the budget of the last year was 630.000 euros (227.000 of which for advertising). Therefore, the total saving of this year with respect to year 2011 is 350.000 euros.

For the first time, and as initiative of the General Direction of Institutional Relations|Relationships and External Action|Share, a commission of work of the day has been constituted and agreements have been signed between the Government and the insular councils|advice|pieces of advice for the organization of the different|distinct events|acts in the respective islands. "We demonstrate, in this way, that with less resources|appeals the things can be made in the same way or better", he|she|it has commented. "The fact that the budget is very inferior does not imply that that we will offer is the quality of the activities also inferior, but all the contrary|opponent", it|he|she has highlighted the counselor.

The counselor has also highlighted that "a day will be this with many novelties|innovations. One of the main ones is that we have made work more ours so that it|he|she is the day, giving importance above all to|in the promotion of the Balearic product and reinforcing the image and the essence of our earth|land. Because of that, also, there will be participation|shareholding of the Government in all islands".

As for the event|act of delivery of the prizes Ramon Llull and the Gold Medal of the Autonomous Community, Gómez has highlighted that "this year it will be carried out on the day 29, at 20.00 o'clock, in the emblematic building of the Market|Box, which was his|hers|theirs from the first Parliament of the Islands."

On his|her|their part, the general director of Institutional Relations|Relationships and External Action|Share, Carmen Lliteras, has highlighted as newer activities: the first day|working day of doors open to private art galleries, museums and emblematic public buildings, a known initiative with the name|noun of "The art with the Day of the Balearic Islands"; aquatic activities in the Park of the Sea; I Technical Day|Working Day of Local Police, and also a course|march of indoorwalking with itinerary for the center of the city.

"For the first time, moreover, we have achieved a total implication of all the ministries of the Government, that they will have a total of 10 huts on the promenade|walk of Sagrera, among|between which there will be a truck of blood donation and a stop of the Center Balears Europa," has explained the director. "As for the composition of the market and the traditional sample|exhibition, it|he|she will have 185 stops, 102 of which will be destined to activities typical of the Islands".

From the Government the participation|shareholding is expected about about 400.000 persons.
