The General Direction of Emergencies (DGE) has organized a working meeting with responsibles for several organizations|organisms to start off a whole|set of directed measures to improve several aspects|looks related with the security|certainty in the mountain, among|between them, the writing of a protocol of operating performance|action on the subject of rescues|ransoms in baskets and abysses, and the improvement of the signaling in the mountain. To|In the session of work representatives of the DGE, firefighters, Guardia Civil (GREIM and GEAS), IB-Salut, Spaces of Nature, SEIB 112 and Federation of Speleology have taken part.

During the meeting people have agreed on establishing a preventive program of itineraries for the main underground cavities in order to elaborate the mentioned protocol of rescue|ransom. The representatives of the summoned organizations|organisms have pointed out the need of a specific and precise formation|training and knowledge about this individual.

They have also pointed out the need to inform preventively to all the hikers about the real risk of the torrents and ravines of the North Wind, since has been detected that many specialized web pages minimize these risks. In these heard|felt, he|she|it has proposed to place a point of information given at the entry|ticket of the torrent of Pareis for volunteers of Civil Protection where he|she|it will be informed of the risk of the excursion and the persons will be recommended that, for several motives they are not prepared, that they desist from making it.

The deficient signaling of the routes of hiking has been another of the matters put on the table. All these questions were brought up among|between the main conclusions of the first Technical Day|Working Day about Emergencies and Security|Certainty in the Mountain, organized on the 14th April by the DGE. Now they will be worked to attempt to avoid losses and accidents of hikers, climbers, speleologists and lovers of the mountain in general, that they generate performances|actions of rescue|ransom that many resources|appeals mobilize and that often they put in danger also the life of the rescatadors.

These performances|actions are added to the protocol of rescues|ransoms started off recently by the SEIB 112 where it is detailed in a precise way who, how and when it|he|she has to make these rescues|ransoms, in accordance with each circumstance, and the automatic office of the helicopter of the DGE to win time, among other questions, is established.

On the other hand, the DGE continues working in the elaboration of a protocol of operating performance|action to attend to an accident with many victims on roads of mountain of difficult access. Once this document has been written up, it|he|she will facilitate it to all the organizations|organisms for its|his|her|their discussion|argument, analysis and enlargement in order to have an operating tool in the face of an accident of severe consequences. The initiative inscribes in the idea about developing more extensively the renewed Territorial Plan of Emergencies of Balears (Platerbal) and will have|count the recommendations that the committee of experts they propose in its|his|her|their moment, since one of its|his|her|their objectives is also to promote the prevention.
