Service of Emergencies 112 has intervened in 422 incidents related with the summer

Emergenciesit has attended to 67 injured people and 8 deaths for breathlessness on the beaches of Balears during the two first months of summer, according to the statistical data of the Service. The SEIB has also been alerted in 139 occasions by the albirament of jellyfishes and it has taken part in 50 incidents related with vessels that found|felt problems in the sea.

The mountain and the hiking have also generated interventions on the part of the SEIB 112 during these two months. Thus, 59 incidents related with assistances to the mountain, 2 for injured people and 16 by rescues and researches have been generated.

Regarding the information for islands, it is necessary to highlight that on the beaches of Mallorca 35 injured people and 11 smothered who have been ressucitats, while 5 smothered persons who have died have been attended to, have been attended|served to. In the case of Eivissa, 13 injured people and one smothered that died on the beaches have been attended|served to. Menorca recorded 18 cases of injured people on its|his|her|their beaches, 1 of breathlessness and 2 of breathlessness with result of death. Finally, on the beaches of Formentera 1 injured person has been attended|served to.

We remember you the General Direction of Emergencies (DGE) having in progress an informative campaign of councils|advice|pieces of advice of directed selfprotection in the resident population and visitors under the lemma of SAFE|SURE BALEARIC ISLANDS and in this councils|advice|pieces of advice including themselves recommendations for the wise use of the beaches and the mountain. It is intended like this to fall upon the prevention to avoid risks. In the same line, the DGE, in collaboration with the general directions of Fishing and Sea, and with the centers of busseig and of subaquatic activities, it|he|she is working to increase the prevention and the information regarding the subaquatic activities with the objective of attempting to reduce the number of incidents. In these moments, people work in several communicative actions|shares and of protocol of performance|action.
