The president of the government of the Balearic Islands, José Ramón Bauzá, and the counselor of Agriculture, Environment and Territory, Biel Company, have met|gathered in Madrid the minister of Agriculture, Feeding and Environment, Miguel Arias Cañete, to reach an agreement on the subject of infrastructures of hydric resources|appeals and to deal with the reform of the common agricultural policy (PAC). On the one hand, the president Bauzá and the counselor Company, formulas have achieved the commitment|appointment to the central Government of searching to assume the overcost of the construction of the dessaladora of Menorca and to achieve the necessary investment|inversion to connect the plant|floor with the networks|nets of supply|delivery of Maó and Ciutadella de Menorca to be able to make the dessaladora profitable|cost-effective.

The Ministry has also accepted to assume the cost of the project of connection of the dessaladora of Santa Eulària des Riu with the ring of distribution of potable water of Eivissa. Regarding this infrastructure, formulas will also be studied to assume the overcost which it has had the construction of the plant|floor, that it finally has required an investment|inversion of 33,4 million euros.

With relation|relationship to|in the protocol of collaboration for the execution of the National Plan of Quality of the Waters: Sanitation|Reorganization and Purification 2007-2015, it has been conceded that the Ministry will start this year the environmental procedure to be able to bid from next year for the projects of execution of the treatment plants of Can Picafort, Eivissa, Santa Eulària des Riu and Addaia (Menorca).

Regarding the whole|set of urgent hydraulic works to be able to supply the cores|kernels of the south-east of Mallorca with potable water, that at present s'abasteixen only of ground waters, the joint writing of a protocol of performances|actions has been agreed|conceded for period 2013-2020.

Bauzá and Company have also claimed the payment of the 4 million euros agreed on in the past legislature for the Plan of Performances|Actions of Cleaning and Conditioning of Torrents that were carried out among|between the end of 2011 and principles of this year and that were not formalized because the former Government did not sign the pertinent agreement. To solve this noncompliance, the current ministerial team|equipment proposes to make a first payment of two million euros this year and a posterior entry|income of the two million remaining the year that, proposal, comes that has been well received by the Balearic executive.

Finally, the central Government him compromised also to give a specific treatment to Formentera through an additional disposal|disposition in the future reform of the law of coasts|shores. For the rest of the islands, the rehabilitation and the revision of possible affected constructions will be studied.

Defense of the insular fact
