The general director of Ordering, Innovation and Professional Training, Onofre Ferrer, has presented the Plan of Multilingual Education to the directors of the educational centers of Primària and Secondary of Mallorca. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow it|he|she will make it in the face of the rest of centers of the Balearic Islands.
During the presentation, Ferrer has explained the Plan of Multilingual Education and its|his|her|their initial phase for the next school year 2012-2013, besides the experimental project of use of multimedia contents in the classrooms, to the assistants.

With Plan of Multilingual Education, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities he|she|it intends to make a step|passage ahead for the improvement of the communicative competence|competition in foreign language|tongue with the use of the languages|tongues of the community and of the English|Englishman for the education of non linguistic contents and it|he|she wants to promote, at the same time, positive linguistic attitudes of respect for all languages|tongues and cultures.

Thus, a total of 50 educational centers of of Primary education and Secondary of the Balearic Islands they will be able to adhere voluntarily to|in the initial phase of this plan for next course 2012-2013. Together the Service of Permanent Formation|Training of the Teaching Staff and the Service of Education of Foreign Languages|Tongues and External Programs will promote and AICLE (Integrated Learning of Contents in Foreign Languages|Tongues) will organize courses of methodology and courses of linguistic update and training for the education in English language|tongue for the teachers of these 50 centers that will impart English language|tongue or matters|subjects in English language|tongue during the next school year.

On the other hand, the experimental Project of use of multimedia contents in the classrooms, promoted by the Service of Permanent Formation|Training of the Teaching Staff of the General Direction of Ordering, Innovation and Professional Training, will be carried out during the third term of course 2011-12 and during every course 2012-13. This project goes directed|addressed in centers of primary education and Secondary public and private concerted sustained|held with background|bottom public of the Balearic Islands, in the third cycle of Primary education and the first of Compulsory Secondary Education.

The project intends to favor the necessary renewal in the participant centers in order to implement a model that allows the use of the Information Technologies and the Communication in a daily and ordinary way in the classrooms, substituting the textbook for multimedia contents. This purpose bases itself on three pillars that are complemented and that become strong in a parallel way: the formation|training of the teaching staff and, for extension, of the other social actors|agents that intervene in the education; the curriculum and the multimedia educational material.

The objectives are to go deep into the quality of the educational system, to get the TIC to become didactic tools of usual use in the classrooms, and to improve the educational practices to attain better results in the process of education-learning. The 18 centers that requested its|his|her|their participation|shareholding have been accepted and will start the experience during the third term of the present course, to continue it during every course 2012-2013.
