The Council|Piece of Advice of Government has approved the modification of the Law 3/2007, of Public Function, validating it as well as to|in Bill. The text that has been approved establishes, in general character, that the Catalan will stop being a requirement to access the public function, to go to being a merit and now will continue its|his|her|their legislative formality in the Parliament of the Balearic Islands.

With this reform it is intended to orchestrate the necessary measures so that the selective processes allow the Administration of the Balearic Islands the access of the persons best qualified and who overcome the tests|proofs with more level, without the lack of the official accreditation of a determinate level of Catalan being, to start off with, an obstacle. All this, sens perjudici that, once in the Administration, the persons who do not have a determinate level of Catalan can be educated|formed or improve in the knowledge of the Catalan language|tongue with the collaboration of the Administration, with the promotion of the necessary courses. Moreover, so that the citizens have guaranteed right to be attended|served to sits for them in the language|tongue that they wish, a series of exceptions have been foreseen. Cases in which the knowledge of Catalan will continue being a requirement:

a) To access and to occupy places of the educational public function, which has to be governed by its|his|her|their specific statutory regulations.

b) To access and to occupy jobs with functions of linguistic advice in which the call and the relation|relationship of jobs have to require the level C2 of knowledge of language|tongue as a requirement Catalan or equivalent.

c) To occupy all jobs that have the information and the attention to the public as a main function. The relation|relationship of jobs has to require the level B2 of knowledge of Catalan or equivalent language|tongue as a requirement.

d) To occupy the places in which the main function is the reception to|in the public and/or  the  telephonic attention, as well as those that have the information to|in the students as a main function in the educational centers. The relation|relationship of jobs has to require the level A2 of knowledge of Catalan or equivalent language|tongue as a requirement.

e) To occupy  the jobs in which a level is required of academic qualifications corresponding to the subgroup  C2 or any of the foreseen qualifications is not required in the educational system, that tenguin as a main function the information and the attention to the public in which in the relation|relationship of jobs the level  has to require A2 of knowledge of language|tongue as a requirement Catalan or equivalent.

f)  To occupy the jobs in which, the special characteristics of its|his|her|their functions attended to, it is motivated that it is indispensable to require the knowledge of a determinate level of Catalan, which will be made through  the relation|relationship of jobs.
