The Balearic Council|Piece of Advice of the Public Function has shown its|his|her|their support to the preliminary sketch of modification law of the Law of Public Function, after he|she|it has met in ordinary session to be informed about this text. Along the meeting, summoned by the counselor of Public Administrations and President of the Balearic Council|Piece of Advice of the Public Function, Simón Gornés, the assistants have brought improvements to the one written up of look technical and some doubts have been clarified. In this sense, it has come off evident and guaranteed that the local policemen will know Catalan because like this the course of training that they have to make, compulsorily, to access in these places of work requires it.

As a matter of fact, the manager of the Balearic School of Public administration (that him where is carried out this course), Sergi Torrandell, it|he has made it clear that the course of training includes 60 hours in formation of Catalan language|tongue and is of obligatory improvement. In this way, even if the requirement of knowing the Catalan disappears in the preliminary sketch of modification of the law of Public Function, the course that it is made from the EBAP it|he|she continues having the Catalan language|tongue in its|his|her|their curriculum and will guarantee that all who overcome the tests|proofs access the work with a level of Catalan comparable to the B2 of the common European frame|mark of reference for the languages|tongues.

Made the contributions of all presents and the necessary clarifications, the Balearic Council|Piece of Advice of the Public Function has given support to the text for 13 votes in favor and 4 against. They have voted for it in favor: 3 representatives of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, the representative of the General Direction of Human Resources|Appeals of the Government of the Balearic Islands, the representative of the IB-Health, the representative of the Town Council of Palma, the representatives of the Insular Councils|Advice|Pieces of Advice of Mallorca, Menorca and Eivissa, 2 representatives appointed vocal of the Autonomous Community and the 2 representatives of the Federation of Unions of Education and Health (FSES). They have voted for it against: the unions UGT, CCOO, STEI-i and the Council|Piece of Advice of Formentera.

Once made this step, the preliminary sketch of modification law of the Law of Public Function continues the corresponding formality: he|she|it will be taken|carried to Consell de Govern and if people approve, he|she|it will keep to the Parliament of the Balearic Islands, for its|his|her|their debate, where he|she|it will already arrive at it as a Bill.

The Balearic Council|Piece of Advice of the Public Function is the organ been in charge of coordinating the policies|politics of public function that they affect to|in all the administrations of the Balearic Islands and has to be informed about all the preliminary sketches of law that the public employees affect, as the article|item 8 of the same Law of Public Function establishes. According to its|his|her|their regulations the year has to be gathered at least 2 times. The last meeting was celebrated on the 31st March of 2010 in motive of the preliminary sketch of Public Function Law promoted in the former legislature but that finally was not processed.
