Digital Administration area's main objectives are to support public administration in the adoption of new technologies and to develop IT projects promoting public services on-line and interoperability among administrations. Thus, transforming the public sector, significantly changing their relations with citizens and businesses and winning in efficiency and effectiveness.
IT Systems:
The IT Systems focuses on developing ICT projects applied to the information systems architectures development and their infrastructures for efficient knowledge management. One of the main areas of activity is to foster open source software as a real alternative for organizations, in order to reduce their ICT costs.
Tourism:
To promote the development of R + D + I projects in ICT for the tourism sector, the iBit Foundation created the laboratory turisLAB, which arises as a result of the collaboration agreement signed in late 2008 between the iBit Foundation and the cluster Turistec. This laboratory offers to the cluster´s companies its experience and knowledge gained by TurisLab over ten years of existence.
Health:
The Health Area of iBit Foundation is carrying out projects and activities to promote technological innovation in the field of public and private health systems with the aim of standardizing access to health information and help the sustainability these systems. To achieve this goal, the health department, works in three directions: interoperability, telemedicine and management and transfer of knowledge.
Cybersociety:
Cibersociety's mission is to help foster the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in various areas of society and businesses to interact, work, communicate, do business, build trust and share knowledge. To do this, we must be aware about the emerging technological innovations, its applications and uses that the society and companies give them, as well as disseminate and propose to implement them in different sectors.
