The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has opened the call of displacement|trip aids|helps for pupils of the Balearic Islands that do university studies during academic year 2011-2012.

The Government of the Balearic Islands has considered a clear bet|commitment the fact of restoring these aids|helps, which were not summoned in order to the former course, in order to fact appropriate as for the compensation of the insularity in educational matter|subject. This compensation has to foresee the needs of the pupils that university studies that are not imparted in the Balearic territory as well as, also, the double have to process insularity that the students of Menorca and those of the Pitiüses suffer.

Precisely, the new call foresees a maximum amount of 400.000 euros that will be destined to offsetting part of the cost of the displacement|trip of the pupils of the Islands that, the insular fact attended to, they have to travel|move and reside out of the island where its|his|her|their family address|home is found to do university studies.

They will be able to benefit from these aids|helps:
a) The pupils with family address|home in Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa or Formentera that travel to another island to do studies in any center of the University of the Islands Balearic or to make practices of laboratory compulsory of the studies of the National University of Distance Learning (UNED).
b) The pupils with family address|home in the Balearic Islands that diplomas, graduations, official university masters or official studies have to be moved to|in another Spanish autonomous community to process of degree than they are imparted in the UIB nor in its|his|her|their ascribed centers or so that they have not obtained it|he|she places.

As a novelty|innovation and for the first time, to appraise the effort and the academic performance of the pupils, to recognize officially the merits of those that demonstrate a special dedication to the studies and to promote the improvement of the academic results, this call includes a component of the help for the pupils that excel•lent have obtained an academic performance and do|process university studies out of its|his|her|their island of residence.

The amount of the aids|helps consists of an economic|economical help for displacement|trip to do studies out of the island of residence associated with a performance excel•lent with a fixed|steady endowment of 1.500 euros, and in a general economic|economical help for displacement|trip to do university studies out of the island of residence of 450 euros at most. Thus, the amount of the subsidy|grant has to be at most 1.950 euros in the case of sol•licitants with academic performance excel•lent, and of 450 euros in the rest of cases.
