The vice president economic|economical, of Entrepreneurial Promotion and of Employment|Occupation, Josep Ignasi Aguiló, and the commercial director of Endesa in the Balearic Islands, Martí Ribas, they have signed today an agreement to start off the Plan of Energy Saving in the Homes, with the objective of promoting the energetic efficiency through measures of civic awareness.

To|In the presentation they have also been there present the general director of Industry and Energy, Jaume Ochogavia, and the director of Strategy and Development of Products and Services of Endesa Energia, Álvaro Otaolaurruchi.

The axis|axle of this plan is the distribution and instal•lació, as a pilo program, of   devices of energetic efficiency in 150 homes of the Balearic Islands, which allow to visualize the energetic consumption in real time|weather in euros. The campaign starts from the conviction that a major knowledge of the energetic consumption, and of the relation|relationship between this and what is paid, it will result in an improvement of the habits towards others more efficient.

This performance|action is set in the Plan of Saving and Energetic Efficiency that promotes the Government of the Balearic Islands, through the General Direction of Industry and Energy, consistent in the development of three specific plans: a plan of saving in the public administration, a plan of saving for companies and pimes, and the plan of energy saving in the homes.

The Government, with these plans of performance|action, has the objective of promoting and achieving the energetic efficiency in the Balearic Islands. The International Agency of the Energy bets so that the administrations, through initiatives, manage to fulfill the objectives of the climatic change. He calculates, moreover, that 60% of the performances|actions has to be destined, precisely, to achieve the energetic efficiency. The rest of performances|actions, according to the International Agency, have to be in 20%, in capture of carbon in 10% and in performances|actions related to the nuclear energy in 10% destined to|in policies|politics of renewable energies.
Free Instal•lació to control the electrical consumption

The Government of the Balearic Islands, together with Endesa, will proceed to the free instal•lació of a device of efficiency in 150 homes placed in the Balearic Islands, out of|among the candidates selected depending on the following criteria: age, electrical expense, equipment of the home, orientation to|in the technology and motives for which the candidates want to take part in the initiative.
