The counselor of Presidency, Antonio Gómez, has mantengut a meeting|encounter of work with the members of the Consular Body accredited|proved in the Balearic Islands. During the meeting, that it has been headed by the dean of the Consular Body, Pedro Pablo Marrero, Gómez has transferred them the will of establishing a dialog fluïd and permanent.

The general director of Institutional Relations|Relationships and External Action|Share, Carme Lliteras, and the manager of the Agency of International Cooperation, Juan Manuel Gómez, they have been also present to the Day|Working Day and have explained in the presents the policies|politics that they carry out from its|his|her|their respective areas.

The counselor of Presidency has made special mention to the Plan of Budgetary Equilibrium approved by the Government, to guarantee the sustainability and the economic growth, some measures that affect the residents of our Community and to the citizens of the countries that the cònsuls represent.

Antonio Gómez has referred also to the last data of the Balearic Observatory of the Cooperation and the Migrations,  which bring the repercusió negative that the economic crisis has in the workers of foreign origin to light. The most outstanding data are the following ones:
- Along 2011, the work population of foreign origin suffered a loss of employment|occupation of the 2.32%, what means a loss of 1.652 places of work.
- There is also a clear difference in the distribution of the employment|occupation between the community workers and those extracommunity. The major percentage of employees and affiliates to the regime|diet of the Home belongs to extracommunity workers. While, the workers of the European Union are mostly affiliated to the General regime|diet or are freelances.
- Regarding the permanent permissions|permits of Residence and Work, last year the 6.786 accumulations, front|forehead in the 19.917 of 2010, figure that means a reduction in the 65.91%, were reached
- In 2011 less of initial permissions|permits of family regrouping conceded a 10.15% to themselves, and they renewed a 67.89% less of permissions|permits of family regrouping.

The counselor of Presidency has finished its|his|her|their intervention making a  special mention and a public recognition to the task that is carried out from the consular offices, coworking in the articulation of the civil society of the Balearic Islands.

In finishing the Day|Working Day, the counselor has received the Global Mallorca book of hands of its|his|her|their author, Mateu Cladera.
