The counselor of Presidency, Antonio Gómez, has presided over the first meeting constitutive of the Interdepartmental Commission of External Action|Share, organization|organism that will allow the Government of the Balearic Islands a better coordination on the subject of external action|share.

Formed by representatives of all the ministries linked to European subjects, the Interdepartmental Commission will be in charge of the coordination, the follow-up and the analysis of the functions and performances|actions with significance and international incidence of the several ministries and of the organizations|organisms of the autonomic Administration, as well as of the entities that form its|his|her|their instrumental public sector; and of the coordination of the participation|shareholding of the Government and of the Administration of the Balearic Islands in the elaboration of the legislation and the policies|politics of the European Union and its|his|her|their application in the territorial area of the autonomous community, as well as the follow-up and the evaluation of the instruments of cooperation agreed on with the general Administration of the State on the subject of European integration.

The counselor of Presidency has highlighted that "this Commission is configured with the objective of joining criteria and promoting a more effective coordination of the work of the Government in the exterior, especially with all the subjects related with the European Union." Gómez it has hit in the fact that "2012 it is a key year in the European Union as for the negotiations about the agricultural policies and fishing common, that they will approve themselves in 2013, and the Government can not lose any opportunity to claim a specific treatment for the islands that serves as the insular fact to palliate the derived disadvantages from the European institutions".

To|In the meeting the structure and the functioning|operation of the Commission has been shown|presented, as well as the work that is exercised|exerted from the General Direction of Institutional Relations|Relationships and External Action|Share, together with the Delegation of the Government in Brussels and the Center Balears Europa.

Likewise, the foreseen initiatives have been put in knowledge of the members of the Commission on the subject of external action|share that each ministry will carry out during the next months.
