During the last year, the demands|lawsuits of police attention of the citizens through the telephone of urgency 112, in front of number 092, that registered a decrease were increased 9% of phoned about with respect to year 2010. This demonstrates that the 112 keeps on being consolidated as a number that the citizens use to ask for a police service of urgency, since in a year it|he|she went|passed from counting 38,8% of the total of 44,8% phoned about, everything and that the total number of phoned about it|he|she descended the last year with respect to the former exercise. Thus, in year 2010 183.332 requirements were registered, in front of the 174.617 that were registered in 2011.

These data retire in the 'Memory of activities 2011 of the Police Local of the Balearic Islands', of the Institute|High School of Public Safety (ISPIB) of the Ministry of Public Administrations, that it|he|she contains data about the cash of the police in the Balearic Islands, and the activities carried out by the local policemen of the towns.

According to the memory, in the Islands there are 47 towns with constituted local police, and 20 more without constituted body, but with auxiliary policemen. The total number of policemen local is 2.643, of that 79 % -in particular 2. 088-, they are in Mallorca (2.049 local policemen and 39 auxiliary policemen); 9,73%, that is, 257, in Menorca; 10,63%, or 281 policewomen, in Eivissa, and 17 local policemen in Formentera.

These figures mean a ratio of 2,37 local policemen for a thousand inhabitants, over the advisable minimum ratio according to Decree 67/2006, established in 1,6 by a thousand.
