The State secretary of Rural Environment and Water of the central government, Josep Puxeu, and the counselor of Agriculture, Environment and Territory, Biel Company, have visited this afternoon the works of the pond of irrigated land with regenerated waters of the EDAR of Maria de la Salut, Ariany and Sineu. This work will give 166 irrigators and a total of 95 hectares of these three towns service. With a budget of 6.238.521,77 euros, the execution of the project started in 2008 on a terrain of 31.962 m2 acquired by the Autonomous Community in the municipal area of Ariany. It consists of the creation of a pond of regulation of 56.749 m3, semi-excavated, with slopes of earth|land and waterproofed with sheet of polyethylene of high density, with the corresponding treatment to fulfill the requirements of purified waters reuse. Moreover, lin of drivings|pipelines of irrigation have been constructed 25.726 m and 13 km of paths|ways have been repaved.
This performance|action is set|framed in the Plan of Irrigated Land 2000-2010 signed for the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands and the Ministry of Agriculture, which determined the execution of 46 performances|actions, 33 of which they had to be funded by the Autonomous Community and the 13 remaining ones, for the Ministry. At present, from the 33 works compromised by the Autonomous Community, 27 have been executed; two are in execution (this project of irrigated land with waters regenerated from Maria de la Salut, Ariany and Sineu, and another for the reuse of wastewater|sewage in Consell), and four agree|remain to execute (in phase of writing): the reuse of wastewater|sewage in Creeks of Mallorca, the pond of irrigated land with waters purified in Algaida-Montuïri, the reuse of wastewater|sewage in Felanitx and the reuse of wastewater|sewage in Porreres.
Regarding the projects that the Ministry has to execute, eight are finished, two are|find in phase of construction (reuse of wastewater|sewage in Capdepera and reuse of wastewater|sewage in Artà) and three agree|remain to execute: the reuse of ace wastewater|sewage Castle (Menorca), the construction of a second pond and of the pipes of connection for a zone of irrigated land in Llucmajor-Palma and the reuse of wastewater|sewage in Manacor-Porto Cristo.
In the morning, the State secretary and the counselor have maintained|sustained a meeting in|on the headquarters|see of the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Territory to treat several aspects|looks that affect the islands, among|between which the possibility to activate lines of help in agricultural matter|subject approved but that have not managed to be executed, as|like those of the marginal olive grove; the creation of a network|net that allows to optimize the dessaladores pending of recepcionar, as|like those of Ciutadella and Santa Eulàlia; and other investments|inversions on the subject of purification of waters.
