From 2012, the Service of Health will send the new sanitary card intel•ligent, which includes a chip of security|certainty, a magnetic strip and a photograph|photography of the titular person. The inclusion of the photograph|photography facilitates the identification, he|she|it insures|assures that the use of the card is personal and untransferable and avoids possible frauds, as|like several users using the same card.

The chip of identification for radio frequency (RFID) allows always to access in a safe|sure way, fast and updated to|in the electronic clinical information of the titular person in any place where a reader is had, with its|his|her|their consent or of that one who performs legally in name|noun of his|hers|theirs, in accordance with the valid legislation about the protection of data.

The citizens of the Balearic Islands have of sol•licitar the expedition or the renewal of the new card directing itself|herself to the different health centres. The sanitary card tendrà a cost of 10 euros and will start to be charged|collected from the 2 January. The persons that tenguin a card with posterior validity in the 31 December 2012 and that they renew it|her during this year they will benefit of a reduction in 50% of the quota (5 euros). The titular person will receive a provisional sanitary card while the definite card intel•ligent is processed, which will be sent from the month of May.

Consigning false data to the sanitary card or making any other use undue or fraudulent will imply that it is revoked. The sanitary staff will demand from the users that they show|present the card; if it|he|she detects any incorrect use, he|she|it will notify it in|on the competent organs.
